Francs, Côtes de Bordeaux is one of the region’s smallest appellations, offering fertile ground for discovering quality and value just 10km from illustrious Saint-Émilion. The team at Laulan are converting their 11.4 hectares of vines to organic viticulture, alongside regenerative farming practices, with certification expected soon. No animal products are used in the winemaking, making the wines suitable for vegans.

Predominantly Merlot, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Malbec, the 2020 Laulan displays a deep, dense colour with garnet tints. Fresh red fruits and delicate violet aromas lead into a generous, rounded palate. Ripe Cabernet brings velvety tannins and structure, complementing the fleshy fruit of Merlot and Malbec to create an approachable, beautifully balanced Claret.
