Moulin-à-Vent is the most northerly of the 10 Beaujolais crus, and is renowned for producing the most structured and concentrated expressions of Gamay in the region. While this wine has all the right ingredients for graceful ageing, it is equally delicious now, with darker berry fruits complementing the cherry and strawberry notes. The palate is fleshy and firm with persistent tannins, touches of damson and plum, and a hint of spice. An excellent Moulin-à-Vent whose complexity is sure to develop in-bottle over the next 10 years or so.
