Domaine Poulleau Beaune Les Prévoles 2023
This a slightly richer style of Pinot Noir, with red and black plum, violet and tart cherry flavours. While fuller on the palate, this does not lack freshness and the wine has an appealing mineral core.

The fruit for this Beaune villages come from a 1.26ha site of 70+ year old vines. The vineyards of Les Prevoles lie towards the bottom of the slope, beneath the premiers crus, to the south of the town of Beaune and the calcareous soils here are deeper, giving the capacity for greater concentration and complexity. The wine itself is richer in style – where the Chorey’ is lighter, more feminine – with notes of blackberries, black cherry, strawberry and plum. It is well rounded on the palate, with lots of finely textured tannins, and that rich fruit profile, but balanced with a crisp acidity, and a refreshing mineral complexity to finish.
