This remarkable property is surrounded on al sides by that of the only Premier Cru Superieur Sauternes, the world-renowned Château Yquem. Now in the fourth generation, the Dufour familia’s have carefully and fastidiously tended the 12 hectare site to produce a delectable, luscious Sauternes. In its youth it is a perfectly weighted, gloriously balanced aperitif-style sweet wine with lemon and orange zest, along with caramel and dark brown sugar on the nose all wrapped with a warming oak spice. The depth, concentration and complexity share more than a passing resemblance to its oh-so famous neighbour but at a fraction of the cost.
