This Chablis opens with delicate white blossom and citrus on the nose, before revealing the energy and tension that define the palate. As throughout the Barat range, Angèle favours stainless steel over oak, preserving the purity of the fruit, while generous green apple and citrus bring breadth without compromising the wine’s hallmark freshness. Around eight months, in tank, on its fine lees lend a subtle creaminess and delicate notes of freshly whipped meringue, complementing rather than softening the wine’s incisive, mineral character.
