Domaine Guillot Gonin Beaujolais Blanc ‘les Larmes de Suzanne’ 2024

Produced from young vines planted on the Vavre plateau, facing south-east towards Juliénas and enjoying generous morning sunshine, this Chardonnay is pretty and bright, with delicate white-fleshed fruit and notes of acacia. Twelve months in large concrete vats lend a little roundness to the palate, bringing a tender, supple quality to its clean-cut green fruit flavours. Unadorned by oak, it remains lively and fresh, an enjoyable expression of Chardonnay that makes a pleasing accompaniment to salmon en croûte, pear frangipane or milder goat’s cheese.
