The white Château les Clauzots is picked from the estate’s specific holdings on a site composed of a mixture of clay and sandy soils. The nose is expressive with citrus fruits, peach and a hint of exotic, tropical fruits, and is reminiscent the beauty and freshness of white Graves wines. It shows incredible balance between tension and the unctuous mouthfeel. The juice is cold settled for one week prior to alcoholic fermentation and, post fermentation, the wines are racked but kept on fine lees to gain texture and complexity during the maturation process. The wine sings with the aromatic intensity of Sauvignon Blanc on the nose, with lemon, lime and lychee, along with the typical minerality of the terroir. The palate is built with tension and length as a result of the low yielding site. Rich and delicate Sémillon provides smoothness and volume to the final blend, while Sauvignon Gris adds grapefruit and elderberry.
