Classically Alsace Riesling with delicate aromatics, pure citrus fruits, and the characteristic Frey ‘grip’.

2020 was a warmer vintage in Alsace with hot, dry conditions from early bud burst and throughout the growing season, though tempered by welcome intermittent rainfall. This has given a slightly richer Riesling ‘Granite’ but which still retains the House’s trademark delicacy and phenolic structure. White peach, lemon and even a little quince on the nose, but the palate remains long, fresh, linear and built for food.

To quote and endorse tasting notes from JR: “Certified biodynamic. Very pure, mineral Riesling fruit with a bone dry finish, as advertised on the sweetness label on the back label. This throbs with vitality. Lovely elegance.” I would only add that this is the type of Riesling that really allows you to appreciate the beautiful character of this grape.
