Arinto (aka. Paderna) is commonly found as a blending partner of Loureiro in Vinho Verde, and Fernao Pires in Bairrada, for its ability to retain naturally high levels of acidity even when grown in the hot, humid conditions of Portugal’s Central Coast where it is most planted. This 100% Arinto Vinho Verde bursts with lemon, lime and grapefruit flavours on the nose and palate, while three months on fine lees ahead of bottling adds a little texture to soften the persistent but well-integrated acidity.
