Arnaud’s Gevrey cuvée has great red fruit purity, with sweet cherry shining through. On the nose, notes of orange blossom, orange peel and white flowers, while there is a delicate oak spice and sweetness present but the ripe red fruit profile is not masked. It has a wonderful freshness on the rich, firm palate, equalled with lift and elegance, complemented by red cherry, cranberry and redcurrant, blackberry and an almond, cherry kernel note. Rich and youthful now, but in time savoury notes will develop, and last happily for a further 15 years or so.
