Arnaud’s Savigny’ comes from a 0.8ha plot just shy of 250 meters above sea-level. What is instantly noticeable is the depth and richness of the wine, typical of this particular appellation. The flavour profile leans a little more to the darker fruit spectrum, with black cherry, blackberry and then a hint of wood smoke and clove spice, but with a sour, crunchy red fruit note to refresh the finish. This is generous, weighty on the palate, with fine, silky tannins offering structure, framing the fruit and spice perfectly.
